What it is

An augmented-reality navigation assistant that guides users to a destination indoors and outdoors, combining Vuforia marker detection with Unity 3D overlays and place recommendations based on user preferences.

Problem

Complex indoor spaces are hard to navigate with 2D maps.

Approach

Built the indoor navigation feature, the recommendation logic and the entire frontend in Unity and C# with Vuforia, Autodesk Revit models, Maps SDK and Firebase; designed the UI in Figma.

Highlights

  1. Piloted with college users at 90%+ satisfaction on a usability survey; robust across lighting conditions.

  2. Secured industry sponsorship from TECHVED in October 2021 and presented a seminar on AR development tools.
